The vibe was excellent, with awesome mixes from The Town & Matsa, with their elegant and sexy house, and Arystoth for his vibrant dubstep mix. The aim of POLAAR is to be an eccelctic night, and it was !

This thursday it’s POLAAR time again!!
what is POLAAR ? POLAAR is a new night i’m running at le Batofar, a boat on the Seine in Paris. It’s a very cool & warm place, where you can also have a drink or diner, with a really club in the hold.
This is the 3rd POLAAR event i’m doing, and this time i’m really excited to have The Town, a french duo who released awesome tunes lately on ClekClekBoom. They come from a Chicago House background but what i love about their music is this uk house influence too… it is very groovy, pretty deep & with vibrant atmospheres. I can’t wait to listen to their mix ! Alongside, my mate Matsa will mix dub techno for the warm up (it’s gonna be intense!), and the upcoming dubstep dj Arystoth will show us his techno orientated sound. What an exciting line up!

I’m happy to announce the second episode of POLAAR, this time hosted in Lyon at la Marquise.
POLAAR is the night for those who love #BASS MUSIC #HOUSE #KUDURO #TRIBAL, from deep to dancefloor hits. At POLAAR, we love every kind of booty shaking music, the diversity the Bass Music offers is huuuge and that’s what we love and want to share through these events.
The first POLAAR happened in september in Paris at le batofar, with Diamond Bass & Baile Funk superstar Leo Justi, and was a success.
For the second episode, in association with french collectiv/bloggers/music lovers Enover, we’re happy to receive BUDJU, from forward thinking french label Chateau Bruyant. Budju is a combination of 2 very talented djs & producers, Douchka & Zoomtronic. They released a fantastic EP on Chateau Bruyant 2 month ago (listen here) and gonna play at les Transmusicales de Rennes. We told you that these guys are good :)

Lyon artist Canza will also be here, to showcase his talent in house/techno territories.

This friday, the 7th of september, in Lyon, we’ll celebrate la Fée Verte‘s new sound system! and as it is a special cause, we’ll do something different: I’ll be playing back 2 back with my mate Douster – all night long!
This is pretty exclusiv, we’ve never done this before, but it’s gonna be fun for sure! Expect loaaads of different styles…

September is already here and i’m glad to launch a new serie of gigs at le Batofar called POLAAR.
This new night in Paris will focus on Bass Music in its large sense, from tribal to house, from techno to booty bass, from uk funky to moombahton. There are so many good music, why only focussing on one ? :)
For the first edition, i’m delighted to receive 2 of my heroes: DIAMOND BASS & LEO JUSTI.
Diamond Bass is an portugese artist living in London. His music is representativ of this 2 facts, cos he likes to cross over kuduro/tribal music to uk funky or house, creating something really refreshing and exciting. He regulary signs tunes on Enchufada, Buraka Som Sistema‘s label, which is definitly a good sign.
Leo Justi is Rio new sensation! This young prodigy has recently remixed MIA‘s new single, « Bad Girls », and got loads of interests from MTV IGGY, the Fader, Spin or NY Post. He has created a wicked crossover between Baile Funk & Electro, top quality.
So this new POLAAR event supposed to be VERY cool, come say hi if you’re in Paris this thursday!

This week end there’ll be the fantastic festival Les Démons d’Or. Located in the countryside of les Mont d’Or, this festival has gained a very nice reputation these last few years, for both their line ups & their really friendly atmosphere.
So i’m really glad to be part of the festival this year. I’ll be playing on saturday, with MANKIND HI-FI, IRATION STEPPAS, MONKI & DR ROOTS feat. MC RUNIGGA & MATT TRACKER.

We’re back!! Prosper & myself are delighted to receive Mim & Entek, a new generation of french Hip Hop producer / mc.
MiM is part of the team of TV program Bref, doing all the music and Entek got famous sharing the mic with french star, Grems. The duo is doing a wicked mixture between electro, grime & dubstep. I am really curious to listen to what they gonna do tomorrow!!
