4 VINI « Forever Young »ep freeby…

It’s been 10 years since the groundbreaking ’4 Vini’ LP was released to commemorate the passing of Vini Medley, founding partner of Botchit & Scarper and one of the UK underground’s true musical mavericks.

Ten years on and in memory of Vini and all that he achieved we are very proud to give to you the ‘Forever Young: 10 Years’ EP. Originally released across two LP’s on Botchit and Emotif this EP brings together all 5 of the stunning remixes for the first time.

This special free EP includes remixes of Elisabeth Troy’s touching tribute to Vini ‘Forever Young’ by such esteemed artists as MJ Cole, Atomic Hooligan, Freq Nasty & BLIM, Ill Logic & Raf and Ray Keith. We hope that you enjoy these tracks as much as we still do and spare a thought for the passing of somebody very special. Botchit x

8 /10 – Some choice producers get their hands on the parts from different tracks from Flore’s new album ‘Raw’, with Gella excelling with ‘Get It In Get It On’ featuring Rodney P. Gella weaves a duly raw beats lattice around da riddim killer’s commanding vox for a brilliant bashy bonanza, while Hackman’s funky reimagining of ‘Raw’ is fresh and fly. The album’s cover of ‘Cars’ by Gary Numan is itself quite UK funky, so Flore tuffens it up here, and Maelstrom makes it a mahoosive electro-house affair.

Gella has a real talent with vocals. Loved his remix of Baobinga & I.D ‘Jump Up’ and his own single ‘Twinkle’. Here, Gella delivers the goods with a bass heavy bouncy, bashment-jungle styled break-step remix of ‘Get It In Get It On’ featuring Rodney P, complete with a delicious half speed dubstep breakdown and lush chords. Gella is gonna be big! UK Funky don Hackman, turns in an effortless and super slick piece of sublime urban musicality with his remix of ‘Cars’. Having trained classically as a youngster it is very apparent from his meticulous and sexy production that he knows his onions! Maelstrom, the man of many genre faces, puts on his 4/4 urban house head for his sleazy reworking of ‘Cars’. Flore’s remix of ‘Cars’ sees tropical beats and parping b lines. 10/10

The third part of the RAW project is now out on Beatport & all digital platforms (sorry, no more vinyls :S)

This 4 tracks pack includes remixes of heavyweight breaks producer Gella, french maestro Maelstrom & Hackman. I’ve also refixed CARS, for a more uk funky/bass driving version of it, with less vocals.

bass music and global bass MTV finally got back to us and they played the CARS video few times this last month. This is a VERY positiv & exclusiv thing as the track hasn’t been charted in the national daily radio charts.

RAW – Flore first album out now on Botchit & Scarper

YEAH!! you can’t imagine how happy & proud i am to introduce you to my mighty RAW album!

It has been released on the 31st of june 2010 on uk label Botchit & Scarper. It contains 14 tracks with a very wide rage of style: from hip hop, to electro, fidget, kuduro, house, breaks…

I think it took me something like 3 years of process….
