Dub me by Uzul – Exclusiv dubstep remix of Feel me by french producer Uzul

Dub me by Uzul
bass music and global bass
I like dubstep, even if i’m hard to satisfy. I follow this scene since the early begining and i was a big supporters of the « grime » sound in dubstep, stuff from Plastician or Tempa Records. Lately i’ve taken some distance with this style cos everything sound the same to my ears, too much copies of Skrillex, too noisy, too cold & too hard for me. I like when it’s hard, but i prefer the « rave » way, stuff like Pyramid or DoctorP.
Uzul is one of the french dubstep producer to watch. Member of the very famous french band Kali Live Dub, i know this guy for a while now. So when i first started thinking of a dubstep remix of Feel me, i intuitively though of him. And i was not disapointed :)
The result is REALLY the kind of stuff i like: it is grimey, it is dub, it is naughty.
The way he used the vocal parts is really different from the original, which i also like.
So we both decided to give this remix for free to our followers.
If you like it, show Uzul some love, here are his links

The FOKN Dunaquest in Budapest Remix Album

The FOKN Dunaquest in Budapest Remix Album

bass music and global bass

It’s been a busy year so far for Ghana’s most scandalous Afro-pop duo known as the FOKN Bois. Aside from almost causing a war between Nigeria and Ghana, touring Europe, USA and releasing the world’s first Pidgen Musical, they also managed to record an 8-track EP The FOKN Dunaquest in Budapest with ELO of Irie Maffia Production, Hungary’s leading musical force, who released it on the contemporary African label Akwaaba Music.

The story just has begun… After the success of the original EP, a 10-track remix album by the finest Hungarian and international Global Bass producers is here. Remixes from Hungary’s own Slap In The Bass, Nobody Moves, Superstereo, URH and Jumo Daddy (Irie Maffia), as well as Frikstailers, Hijo De La Cumbia, Dj Vadim, Flore and Big Dope P from the international scene. Moobahton, dubstep, cumbia, bassline to uk funky all in one solid album.

Now for the best part…as the producer ELO celebrates his 30th birthday this weekend he has decided to make the album a FREE DOWNLOAD for one month!

Youth-Home Mix 1 by centralmassive

Youthman did it again! This is a wicked mix, ecclectic & full of surprises. I’ve asked Youthman to tell me what it was all about….

Hello people, Hi Flore
To introduce myself, I’m Youthman.  I’ve been on the bass scene for a long time now, producing and releasing beats for one and all. I wanted to share a Mix of some tunes that are really obsessing me at the moment. Guys like: Breach, Dark sky, Pearson Sound, Objeckt, Black opera, Julio Bashmore & Phillip D Kick’s …..  are really making it good.

I did this mix to promote my Parisian collective « Le Club De La Mixtape » Our goal is  to create parties where the music is more important than the fame.

check the page for more mix from the crew.
Check the soundcloud for some production.

50th Funkatech birthday release

50th Funkatech birthday release

bass music and global bass50 releases, for an independant label, it is a lot. With the sells going down, most label’s are unfortunately stopping early, being unable to cover the costs.

I have known the crew for some time now. I first met Asad, the label manager who became a very good friend of mine, and with whom i like spending hours sharing ideas, listening music & bubbling. From the time i met him, i knew this guy had a vision. And that’s probably why Funkatech is still strong in the game. He’s a big source of inspiration for me.

The label went from straight breaks to proper club music, in its large sense. You can find electro, dubstep, breakstep and crossover stuff, but always with this top quality forward thinking and futuristic sound.

Far Too Loud had the priviledge to host this 50th release. Far Too Loud is famous for its HEAVY electro/funky/ravy/tecky tunes. « Ready to Stomp » is a four track EP, and it’s probably one of its best.

Personnally, when i DJ i’m more into what NAPT is releasing on their new Red Sugar label, but i always pay close attention to Funkatech release’s: as a producer i think these guys are probably the best electronic musician in the scene. Far Too Loud tunes are not always my thing but damn, it always sounds HUUUGE! Try his tunes on a dancefloor, you’ll see it’s hard to find a track to play straight after (except if u go for another Far Too Loud tune ehehe). And the same things happen with the rest of the crew.

Other Funkatech acts are Specimen A, who’s making severe damages in the dubstep scene, PYRAMID, top quality breakstep duo, Miss Trouble MC (actually touring with Elisa Do Brasil) & brand nu collab James D’Ley.

Cubit has just recorded a mixtape showcasing where Funkatech is and where it is going…. watch out for the Stomp!!!
