Dub me by Uzul – Exclusiv dubstep remix of Feel me by french producer Uzul

Dub me by Uzul
bass music and global bass
I like dubstep, even if i’m hard to satisfy. I follow this scene since the early begining and i was a big supporters of the « grime » sound in dubstep, stuff from Plastician or Tempa Records. Lately i’ve taken some distance with this style cos everything sound the same to my ears, too much copies of Skrillex, too noisy, too cold & too hard for me. I like when it’s hard, but i prefer the « rave » way, stuff like Pyramid or DoctorP.
Uzul is one of the french dubstep producer to watch. Member of the very famous french band Kali Live Dub, i know this guy for a while now. So when i first started thinking of a dubstep remix of Feel me, i intuitively though of him. And i was not disapointed :)
The result is REALLY the kind of stuff i like: it is grimey, it is dub, it is naughty.
The way he used the vocal parts is really different from the original, which i also like.
So we both decided to give this remix for free to our followers.
If you like it, show Uzul some love, here are his links

some quotes about RAW remixes…

DJ mag -sept ssue

/10 – Some choice producers get their hands on the parts from different tracks from Flore’s new album ‘Raw’, with Gella excelling with ‘Get It In Get It On’ featuring Rodney P. Gella weaves a duly raw beats lattice around da riddim killer’s commanding vox for a brilliant bashy bonanza, while Hackman’s funky reimagining of ‘Raw’ is fresh and fly. The album’s cover of ‘Cars’ by Gary Numan is itself quite UK funky, so Flore tuffens it up here, and Maelstrom makes it a mahoosive electro-house affair.

IDJ – sept. issue
Gella remix is the bomb. Absolutely firing stuff from the number one badboy on the breakbeat scene!

Mixmag – 8 out of 10 – all top dollar mixes.. good works

Tilllate - Aug. issue     SINGLE OF THE MONTH
Gella has a real talent with vocals. Loved his remix of Baobinga & I.D ‘Jump Up’ and his own single ‘Twinkle’. Here, Gella delivers the goods with a bass heavy bouncy, bashment-jungle styled break-step remix of ‘Get It In Get It On’ featuring Rodney P, complete with a delicious half speed dubstep breakdown and lush chords. Gella is gonna be big! UK Funky don Hackman, turns in an effortless and super slick piece of sublime urban musicality with his remix of ‘Cars’. Having trained classically as a youngster it is very apparent from his meticulous and sexy production that he knows his onions! Maelstrom, the man of many genre faces, puts on his 4/4 urban house head for his sleazy reworking of ‘Cars’. Flore’s remix of ‘Cars’ sees tropical beats and parping b lines. 10/10

Quotes about RAW, Flore’s first album

Quotes about RAW Flore's first album

bass music and global bass I’ve uploaded the press document about the album, cos there was so much reviews i had to prouve it aaha

so if you wanna have a look of what people said about RAW, here it is.

Anyway, i can’t resist to put some samples here…

TILLATE Album of the month – august issue

DJ MAG « Like the best current bass music it’s a mongrel of styles, but by resisting hte urge to slavishly follow the rounte of either dubstep or future garage, Flore creates her own distinctive & forward thinking opus. »

IDJ « Flower power never had so much fire »

ATM « Summing up, ‘Raw’ is fuelled with fun and the kind of exciting bass music that’s been organically making its way out of the underground dance music scene for some time now. Simultaneously capturing what’s popular, and what’s classic about this styles, Flore has crafted an absolute killer album; buy it! »

DATA TRANSMISSION « A versatile release, bass mechanics explored without forgetting the album’s common causes, and something you can both show off to as well as tacitly going about your wilin’ out. 8/10″

BLUES & SOUL « When compared to the other dance albums out at the moment Raw is way above them all. Probably because it isn’t merely just a dance album, its far more than that, there are so many little elements to maintain the listeners interest throughout. »

GENERATION BASS « RAW, a MASTERPIECE! Ok Flore’s new album Raw is out now.  It’s been on my player for the past few weeks non-stop.It’s a great dance album, one of the best I’ve heard this year thus far.  It contains everything you want from a dance album and more.  Not a weak track in sight and such a wide variety of styles and genres, Breaks, Hip Hop, Tropical, Dancehall, Fidget, House, Dubstep, Experimental, Kuduro-esque beats and pure Bass music.I gotta say, man I’m very impressed cause it far exceeded my expectations, not that I ever considered Flore a lightweight at all.  It’s just that as with most dance albums, they’re usually quite disappointing and very patchy. »

MJ ColeA delicious blend of UK musics. This is an exciting time for music and Flore is leading the way with energetic production and an impressive list of collaborations.

DJ Fenster « Inventive, inspired, energetic, clever, danceable and absolutely addictive. Viva la Undergound, Viva la France. Viva la Flore!!!! »

RAW – the Album by Flore

Flore feat. Shunda K « Cars » video

Ok, i’m very late… i’m sorry! But now, i’m ready to really go further in this blog world…so now, i’m gonna try to post the latest stuff i forgot to post here, this video for example :)

It has now more then 12500 views on Youtube and more than 6700 on Dailymotion, so it’s a nice success i think.

The track is a cover of Gary Numan’s CARS, with Shunda K on the mic. The original track is a new wave classic, very futuristic and… cold (as new wave is usually ;). So i decided to bring this tune in a total nu direction, groovier, fresher & maybe more caliente….

Check the original here:

This tune appears on RAW, my album (and if you like the tune and that you want to buy it, you can go this way.)

The video has been directed by a crew from Lyon, called Lightgraff.org.

Lightgraff is a new graffiti technique, using light (Brusk) & pictures (Guillaume J. Plisson). The whole video is an image per image thing which take us something like 4 month to be done (but we were very unlucky, the weather was really bad, and most of the scene had to be done outside). All the edits have been done by Romari.

If you want to know more about this new art, have a look here. And have also a look of Flick or Youtube, you’ll find loads of visuals from different crews from all over the world.
